Maine man struck by lightning

Livermore, Maine-A Livermore man was
hospitalized after he was struck by lightning while stepping out
the shower at his home Thursday evening.
30-year-old Christian Hussey had his
hand on the shower faucet as he was getting out of the shower around
8 p.m., when lightning struck his house at 94 Boothby Road and made
its way through the water pipes.
"He got it through the water pipes.
He had an arm that he said felt heavy and tingly,"said Fire
Chief Donald Castonguay.
Hussey was taken by ambulance to Franklin
Memorial Hospital in Farmington and then moved to Central Maine
Medical Center in Lewiston. He was reported to be in fair condition.
A line of thunderstorms that brought
heavy rain moved through parts of Androscoggin and Oxford Counties
between 7 and 8 p.m., according to the weather service.
