Biofit adds more static control chairs to ship now! Program selection is part of five-fold increase in high-tech seating

BioFit® Engineered Products has expanded its Ship Now! program with additional ergonomic chairs for static control (ESD) applications, as well as seating for Class 100 and Class 1000 clean room/ESD applications.T

The expanded selection is part of BioFit’s five-fold increase in Microtech™ high-tech
chrome-plated seating available in the Ship Now! program. BioFit added 149 Microtech chair models to Ship Now! and now offers 185 high-tech models in its program for shipping chairs in 48 hours or less.

Edward A. Metzger, vice president - sales and marketing, said that BioFit’s Ship Now! program now includes eight series of chairs that are offered in ESD models plus Class 100 and Class 1000 clean room/ESD combination versions.

"High-tech seating in Ship Now! features models in the 4P, 1P, 4V, ERA, 4Q, 1Q, 4X and 4W Series. We added the 4V, ERA, 4X and 4W Series to the ESD offering and introduced Class 100 and Class 1000 combination seating as a new part of the Ship Now! product portfolio," Mr. Metzger explained.

"Our focus is on serving customers who need chairs immediately for their static control applications, including those in clean room environments. The expanded Ship Now! program provides a wider selection to provide comfort and support for individuals and to meet specific requirements in the high-tech arena," he said.

In the Ship Now! program, BioFit offers shipping in 48 hours (two working days) or less after credit approval or BioFit pays the freight. The offer covers up to 15 chairs per day per customer. Chairs arrive via UPS or BioFit’s choice of truck line.

Static control, Class 100 combination and Class 1000 combination models offered in Ship Now! feature Microcon Blue vinyl upholstery that is static-dissipative. Static control models also are available in a fabric.

Class 100 combination chairs feature a filtration system within the seat to trap particulates while allowing the seat to conform to body shape.

Other New Ship Now! Components

BioFit also has introduced clean room seating and new chair options as other additions to Ship Now!

The clean room selection includes Class 100 and Class 1000 models of the eight chair series. These models available in Ship Now! have Grade 2 black vinyl upholstery (BioFit upholstery number 684). The Class 100 chairs feature the filtration system within the seat.

The ERB backrest is a new Ship Now! option on all clean room models in the program. The ERB is a larger backrest (15½ inches wide by 14½ inches high) with a lumbar curve for added comfort and support of the low back.

Other newly added options are:

Free-float articulating seat control (BioFit’s FFAC option), available on all Ship Now! program chairs. Designed to make the chair "move" with the movements of the seated individual, the control lets the seat and backrest float freely or lock independently.

Fully polished cast aluminum base (BioFit’s PAL option). The fully polished five-legged base complements the appearance of a high-tech environment and provides a 26-inch leg spread, compared with 23 inches with the standard chair base of cast aluminum.

Dual-wheel polyurethane casters (BioFit’s CRC option) recommended for clean room usage.
