Questions From Readers

"Dear friends, I'm a restorer of stone sculpture in Barcelona (Spain) and am at present working on a metal scaffolding cleaning the stone windows of a 16th century building outdoors. The point is that we are using microblasting of aluminum oxide in one hand to clean the stone and holding the hose of a vacuum cleaner on the other hand to avoid dust from flying onto the street below, and wearing rubber sole shoes and paper non-woven overalls, and we are getting quite severe ESD going from the wrist of the hand holding the hose to the hose itself, and of course is very annoying. I wonder if that can be a danger to our personal safety and I would be very grateful if you could give me an explanation of the phenomena going on for this to happen and eventually what is your opinion about a solution to this problem."
